Position Summary

As a Senior Manager, Scrum Master, you will lead the adoption and execution of agile practices across teams, ensuring the effective implementation of the Scrum framework. You will lead and manage one or more projects/initiatives and be responsible for end to end delivery leveraging your project management skills as well.  Your role focuses on creating an environment that enables team success, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement. While this is a senior-level position, it is an Individual Contributor (IC) role, meaning you will influence and guide teams without direct people management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple complex initiatives, ensuring alignment to business objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource capacity.

  • Serve as an Agile leader and coach, guiding Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and promote effective cross-functional collaboration, transparency, and communication across teams, leadership, vendors, and business partners.

  • Manage risks, dependencies, impediments, and changes in scope, developing mitigation and contingency plans to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

  • Monitor and analyze Agile delivery metrics, team performance, velocity, quality, and capacity to drive data-informed decisions and optimize team effectiveness.

  • Provide executive-level reporting and stakeholder communication, delivering clear status updates, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an Agile environment

  • 2-4 years of Jira experience

  • Healthcare experience

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders

  • Expertise in execution and delivery, including planning and supporting team outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Jira admin and configuration experience

  • PMP and at least one Agile certification

  • Medicare experience

  • Experience with automating business processes and using AI

  • Demonstrated growth mindset with a focus on agility and continuous development

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
