As DRAM Pathfinding and Architecture Lead you will lead the DRAM pathfinding and architecture activities inside Micron’s Mobile Business Unit.
You will own developing the architecture strategy driving the development of leadership architectures and creating innovative solutions to optimize power and performance keeping Micron’s DRAM products best in class for our customers most demanding AI applications!
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for leading the pathfinding and solution strategy for achieving the product market requirements of Micron’s next generation LPDDR products partnering closely with Micron’s DRAM design team
Finding innovative solutions to break through the scaling wall
Define leadership product architectures, aligning with the diverse segment requirements and Micron’s IP and process strategies.
Work with a cross-functional pathfinding team of technical leaders and architects – coordinating and driving synergies between product architectures and market requirements & timelines.
Work with definitional customers to identify key product features and opportunities to differentiate Micron’s value. Drive customer appetite for Micron’s unique capabilities with those key architects.
Prepare technical reports and presentations to effectively communicate value proposition, complex technical concepts to a broad range of audiences and all levels of an organization including C-suite
Help develop use cases and modelling strategies for target workloads to lead architecture tradeoff decisions. This may include capturing, benchmarking, analyzing applications and their corresponding memory and storage access patterns and emulating architecture elements and improvements in power and performance.
Research, develop, and publish articles of high impact promoting solution designs and leadership with partners and customers
Gather and interpret data from various sources, including technical papers, patents, market reports, and physical chip analysis.
Desired Experience
MS/PhD in electrical engineering, or Materials science with at least 10 years of experience in DRAM development
Expertise in DRAM device physics, circuit design, system architecture, performance optimization
Have a strong background in DRAM process integration, scaling and device physics
Strong knowledge of DRAM architecture, circuit design, layout, and specifications
A proven leader in driving innovative solutions in DRAM technology
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and creatively in a fast-paced environment
Curiosity and passion for learning new technologies and solving challenging problems
Must be a strong individual contributor as well as a team player.
Education & Experience Required
Preferred Masters of Science or PhD in Computer or system architecture or at least 15 years of related proven experience.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$190,500.00 - $324,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
