Job Description Summary

This role leads fleet asset strategy and installed base support for gas turbine equipment, with responsibility for improving fleet responsiveness, reliability, and long-term product support. The position partners across engineering, supply chain, product line, and service teams to define critical spares strategy across a diverse mix of products and translate fleet risk into executable action. The ideal candidate brings strong technical judgment, cross-functional leadership, and experience turning fleet insights into proactive support decisions that balance quality, outage execution, cost, and customer impact.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead fleet asset planning and installed base support strategies to improve reliability, availability, and outage readiness across the fleet.
  • Define critical spares and services parts strategies based on part fallout risk, compatibility, service urgency, and lifecycle support needs.
  • Work with product line to define emergency stock levels on business critical components.
  • Evaluate fleet exposure and support the total product life cycle from part creation, revision, part supercedures, and obsolescence, to drive proactive asset and supply decisions with supply chain.  Define mitigations for part obsolescence while balancing technical and supply chain change management risks.
  • Partner with engineering, supply chain, product line, and field service organizations to ensure corrective actions, product updates, and technical communications are field-executable.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action planning by identifying recurring failures, technical trends, and systemic fleet risks.
  • Use data-driven analysis and technical expertise to recommend inventory strategies, asset disposition, and risk mitigation actions that improve fleet performance and supportability.
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders to balance fleet support plans, outage priorities, and material readiness decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor for fleet issue resolution, service bulletin implementation, and long-term product supportability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 8 years of engineering experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Significant experience in engineering, technology, or fleet management.
  • Experience in gas turbine fleet support, fleet risk assessment, installed base management, or service parts strategy.
  • Strong understanding of the SI&OP process and the process to get material on-order to material on-site.
  • Strong understanding of critical spares planning, part compatibility, and outage support.
  • Demonstrated capability in technical decision-making and stakeholder influence.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
  • Experience supporting root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and field execution readiness.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
