SUMMARY

Monitors the daily operations of the department and staff.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab-Midtown

DEPARTMENT: Outpatient Physical Therapy

SCHEDULE: Day shift, 40-hrs per week, 8hr. shifts 7:30 am - 4 pm. Two later evenings (10 am - 6:30 pm). No weekend requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Functions as a role model for staff in terms of patient assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Maintains, on a daily basis, an adequate case load to meet the needs of the department, monitors daily activity and scheduling of patients to assure optimal and safe use of staff, space, and equipment. Collaborates with all divisions of PM & R regarding resource utilization.
  • Actively participates in the interview and hiring process, is accountable for staff orientation and mandatory in-service education, conducts performance evaluations, and assists with disciplinary action in accordance with health system policy.
  • Facilitates and coordinates the development, updating, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, as well as assists with intra- and interdepartmental quality improvement and care management initiatives. Advises the Director on quality issues that may arise within their respective department. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduated from an accredited program in the respective discipline
  • Full-time employee with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a staff therapist.
  • Required Licensure / Certification Skills:
    Licensed by New York State for the respective discipline.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

$70,000.00 - $110,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
