About the Team

The Directory Services Team is responsible for the secure and reliable management of identities and access across the organization. Operating as a globally distributed team with members in both India and the U.S., the group brings deep technical expertise and a collaborative mindset. Together, we deliver robust, scalable, and secure identity services that align with enterprise security standards.

I. Job Summary

This role supports the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of information security tools and services. The position involves:

  • Translating business and technical requirements into secure enterprise solutions

  • Ensuring information assets are protected with appropriate security controls

  • Conducting security assessments and supporting remediation activities

  • Implementing best practices for identity and access management (IAM) and certificate management

Success in this role requires strong foundational knowledge in IAM security practices, identity directories, and enterprise identity systems.

II. Roles & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Identity & Directory Services

  • Assist in the implementation and configuration of Active Directory and Entra ID based on enterprise standards.

  • Support lifecycle management of Entra ID security solutions such as:

    • Conditional Access

    • Identity Protection

    • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

    • App Registrations

  • Develop and maintain standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures for secure identity and cloud operations.

  • Integrate directory services with various applications and systems to ensure seamless authentication and authorization.

Operations & Troubleshooting

  • Provide troubleshooting for authentication issues, access control failures, and directory replication problems.

  • Document configuration updates, procedures, and troubleshooting steps; provide training as needed.

  • Monitor performance and service health of Entra ID Directory services.

Security & Compliance

  • Assist in implementing compliance requirements such as password policies, access controls, and audit logging.

  • Evaluate applications and infrastructure leveraging Entra ID authentication technologies (OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, SCIM, managed identities) to identify vulnerabilities.

  • Support identity-related incident response activities (compromised accounts, suspicious sign-ins, privilege misuse).

Automation & Engineering

  • Build automations for identity governance, access cleanup, and configuration compliance using:
    PowerShell, Graph API, Azure Functions.

  • Contribute improvements to identity-integrated applications using secure coding practices.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on trends in IAM security, including:
    Zero Trust, passwordless authentication, Entra advancements, and identity governance.

  • Research and recommend adoption of emerging identity technologies.

III. Years of Experience

  • 1 year of experience with IAM or cloud-based information security systems.

  • 2 years of experience analyzing cybersecurity tool outputs and identifying remediation strategies.

IV. Education & Certifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, Cybersecurity, or a related field
    (or equivalent professional experience).

Primary Skills (Must Have)

  • Entra ID

  • Entra ID SSO

  • Entra ID PIM

  • Entra ID Conditional Access Policies

  • GCP Workspace

  • GCP IAM

  • Basic understanding of Active Directory

  • Authentication & Authorization concepts (AuthN/AuthZ)

  • PowerShell scripting

Secondary Skills (Good to Have)

  • Python or other scripting languages

  • DevOps practices and tools

  • Monitoring and observability tools
