The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collect in-depth insights from global fundamental research team, potentially grow into PM
- Lead local research efforts for onshore research projects.
- Develop and enhance in-house process to meet onshore regulatory requirement.
- Engage in team-based problem solving, information sharing, and research discussions.
- Be the ambassador of AB Equity research, meet with gatekeepers, institutional investors, and medias.
- Collaborate with production of marketing and client communication materials.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Sales team and other counterparties on new product design.
- Meet with research providers, data vendors, industry leaders, etc.
- Uphold AB’s fiduciary obligations, adhere to our Code of Conduct and uphold AB’s reputation as a representative with clients and in the broader industry.
- Promote an appropriate diversity and inclusion culture in the firm. AB values diversity of backgrounds, diversity of experience and diversity of thought.
Job Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- An MBA or comparable degree, and/or 8+ years of business experience in investment management.
- Preferably generalist research experience through equities research.
- Deep knowledge of the Chinese capital market and the competitive landscape of the FMC industry (knowledgeable on global capital markets would be a plus)
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently but also as a member of a team in a dynamic, informal and fast-changing environment. We encourage vigorous and open debate among members of our team in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

- Willingness to travel for client meetings and roadshows
- Languages: Fluent in Mandarin, business level English proficiency
