Position Summary:

  • The Workday Solution Owner Tier 3 for Absence & Benefits is responsible for analyzing, designing, and applying solution approaches for Workday module specific requirements and changes, for production configuration changes in implementation projects, Change Requests and for break/fixes in the support model going forward.
  • The role is responsible for the correct configuration and maintenance, based on approved and aligned requirements, approaches and policies in collaboration with their manager.
  • The role follows global and local change guidelines, data privacy, and audit requirements of production changes.
  • The role will deliver the maintenance, the optimization of Absence & Benefits configurations based on the HR and business demand and initiative prioritization coordinated by their manager
  • The role will collaborate with the Tier 3 3rd party needed support capacity and quality delivery for Workday Configurations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary resource to provide break/fix support and process services requests for Absence & Benefits modules
  • Keep up to date on Workday functionality and training
  • Responds to escalated inquiries from Tier 2
  • Resolves escalated inquiries and incidents related to respective modules
  • Ability to advise Management team or other HR stakeholders on solution requests
  • Collaborate in design sessions and define configuration requirements
  • Build and unit test prototypes, and facilitate prototype reviews
  • Define test scenarios and resolve defects
  • Define cutover activities to deploy new features into production
  • Provide technical knowledge relevant for job aids and training materials
  • Identifies Workday process improvement opportunities
  • Oversees regression testing prior to biannual releases
  • Supports the clarification of integration requirements and integration testing related to Absence & Benefits
  • Ability to learn and support other Workday functional modules as needed

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years professional experience with Workday HCM implementation and/or maintenance with Focus on the Workday Absence & Benefits, in a functional configuration /maintenance management responsible role
  • Deep functional knowledge of Workday Absence & Benefits Modules
  • Experience implementing or providing Workday configuration support
  • Advanced certification or Workday trained on Absence & Benefits modules
  • Experience using Service Management technology
  • Business English
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and data/fact driven approach to problem solving
  • Strong influencing and communications skills including the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and dealing successfully with stakeholders on all levels
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work and deliver results globally across geographies and effectively engage different people and teams
