Job Description

Program Overview  

The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way. 

 

Role Overview  

The GTO dx Data Engineering and Delivery team goals are: 

  • Create a Scalable Enterprise-wide Data Lake by Centralizing and Consolidating all Product and Customer Data that will Empower Business Leaders to Make Decisions at the “Speed of Business.” 

  • Transform dx to Deliver Data Excellence by Stabilizing Data Delivery for ALL Business Critical and Business Necessary Data Making dx the Data Provider of Choice Across Comcast 

  • Execute Against and Deliver Key Business Initiatives Thus Allowing Enterprise Data Consumers to Innovate and Propel Comcast Product Offerings to Best in Class 

  • Surprise and Delight Current Customers and Prospects by Providing “Best in Class” Data, Service, and Experiences that Drive up NPS, Exploit Data and Platforms while Elevating Customer Satisfaction 

 

This role is critical to the success of the Comcast Data Lifecycle process and not only provides the opportunity to learn but also to provide feedback and potential updates to existing processes. This role will be exposed to interesting internal and external data use cases where unique solutions will need to be applied while at the same time following a specified process.  This role will interact directly with the VP, Sr Directors, Director and Sr Managers of Data Engineering and Delivery, Partners within our Legal and Privacy teams as well as various types of roles Enterprise wide that submit a data decommission review request. This role will directly impact the Comcast Data Lifecycle and the ability to influence positive Legal, Privacy, Security and Financial outcomes.  

 

Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Manage a queue of Jira tickets ensuring that we meet our SLA and that the requestors provide the required information  

  • Track and shepherd requests to completion  

  • Categorize and quantify requests  

  • Prepare monthly presentations for Leadership 

  • Support requestors  

  • Create and manage a MS Teams channel

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a  cooperative learning track. 

  • Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23, 2024 through March 28, 2025. 

  • Available to report in-person to the work location provided above. 

  • 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred. 

  • Authorized to work in the United States of America

Compensation

Base Pay: $32.00
