Location:  Singapore – Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)  

Join the Everest Summer Internship Program! This is an exciting opportunity to receive exposure to the world of Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance through dynamic training, firsthand business experience, and networking with the industrys leading experts and experienced professionals. Throughout the Program, you can expect to build upon the academic foundations you have established at school and apply your learning to real world scenarios.

Internships are only open to candidates in their penultimate year of study and have permanent work authorization for Singapore, i.e. Singaporean Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Your Impact & Opportunity 

This is an exciting opportunity for an Intern looking to learn more about underwriting within our dynamic and inclusive team in Singapore. 

  • You will support our Reinsurance casualty and property teams in the day-to-day underwriting process as well as meet with brokers as part of the overall internship.
  • Collaborate on the pre-qualification of deals and provide summaries to the underwriting team for submission flow. 
  • Assist in classifying allsubmissions received, quoted, declined etc. from our trackerfor reporting and data analytics.
  • Shadow underwriters – Information gathering and exposure analysis. 
  • Monitor rate change reports and similar account tracking reports. 
  • Grow and develop while participating in a variety of leader led, professional and personal development workshops, networking events, and the like.

CoreResponsibilities

  • Expand Everest's business profitably in the targeted lines of business and territories in Asia Pacific
  • Underwriting work from opportunity identification, data input, risk analysis, deal negotiation to its conclusion including filing and report.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with clients and brokers
  • Work with team on deals maintenance including data management and operational processes.
  • Undertake various business planning projects and research activities

What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications 

  • Internships are only open to candidates in their penultimate year of study and have permanent work authorization for Singapore, i.e. Singaporean Citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • Analytical minded, meticulous with numbers, keen sense of identifying trends, effective communicator and a team player
  • In depth knowledge of Excel with skills in macro programming
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication
  • Team player with open mindset
  • Strong attention to detail
