Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company’s Specialized United States Infrastructure organization is currently seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join the team in Hazelwood, MO

This role is centered on delivering technical leadership and project support for strategic, enterprise-level hosting environments, primarily catering to initiatives within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit.

An ideal candidate will recognize the value of collaboration, as this position involves direct engagement with program customers and the Information Technology (IT) operations team to manage and support operations, sustainment, and integration activities for proprietary customer programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the onboarding and integration of new programs into the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment, ensuring compliance with security requirements and architectural objectives

  • Utilize agile best practices to organize and prioritize IT tasks, while providing technical solutions to complex problems

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance, driving operational excellence in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA) objectives, and monitor system performance through maintenance, ticket management, capacity planning, and disaster recovery

  • Collaborate with IT business partners, cybersecurity, and management on technical, security, and operational matters, ensuring effective communication and coordination

  • Deliver comprehensive end-to-end computing support, from desktops to servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of multi-platform systems and applications

  • Administer user access, safeguard classified information, and integrate security solutions into information systems

  • Evaluate and communicate complex system issues and resolutions, while identifying computing requirements and ensuring systems meet operational needs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • RMF compliant with a Security+ certificate or obtain certification within first 6 months

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing IT security systems, troubleshooting operating systems, and managing virtualized environments, including VMware

  • Experience with administering user access and safeguarding information to meet network security requirements, with experience in Windows Server (2016-2019) and Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10)

  • Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting applications and software, as well as Unix/Linux (RHEL) systems

  • Experience with applying Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines for compliance

  • Experience with using metrics to measure project performance and ensure quality delivery, as well as Agile methodologies and tools

  • Experience with PowerShell and Linux scripting for automating deployment and configuration, along with experience in system backups and network switch configuration

  • Experience with planning and executing upgrades and patches for operating systems and COTS software, with a broad range of systems and application support experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $108,800 – $147,200
