The Business Intelligence Intermediate Analyst supports data-driven decision-making across the organization by analyzing, interpreting, and presenting key insights from business data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of BI tools, data analysis techniques, and experience working with large datasets to produce actionable insights . Good understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical/subject area and a basic knowledge of other areas in order to understand how they relate to own area. Good understanding of how the the data is integrated in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Improves data process efficiencies in support of unit objectives.. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Influences decisions through advice, data, counsel, facilitating services to others or through joint accountability for volume, quality and timeliness of end results. No direct responsibility for financial or resource planning. Work generally affects own team as well as other closely related work teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and interpret business data to produce reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.
  • Database Management: Work with databases (SQL, Data Warehouses) to extract, clean, and manipulate data for reporting and analysis.
  • BI Tool Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, or similar software.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into data solutions. Provide support for BI-related inquiries and requests.
  • Trend Analysis & Forecasting: Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data, and use statistical methods to make forecasts and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Data Quality & Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of the data used for reporting. Assist in data cleansing and validation processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in BI reporting and analytics, continually seeking ways to improve data analysis processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
    • Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases.
    • Experience with data visualization best practices.
    • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
    • Familiarity with data modeling techniques is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present data findings to business stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with various business teams to understand their needs and provide BI solutions

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
