Core One is seeking a Battle Staff Training and Readiness Manager to support the program. This position requires an active Secret clearance with TS/SCI Eligibility. This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Conduct analysis of training and readiness aligned to operations and develop reports, recommended actions, and/or input to updates. Ensure analysis and recommended actions describe reconciliation of capabilities with the demands of theater and global campaign plans as published by Marine Components and current strategic guidance.
  • Conduct analysis and develop recommendations regarding methodologies and processes to enhance product quality for the G-7.
  • Conduct functional analyses and develop products that mitigate vulnerabilities. Products shall include reports that detail recommendations regarding the execution of operational planning, effectiveness, and readiness, which align to campaign plans and joint exercises, various contingency plans, Operational Plans, and Annual Training Guidance.
  • Conduct analysis and develop recommendations regarding aligning efforts to man, train, and equip forces according to higher headquarter requirements balanced against current capabilities and readiness of the units sourced against these requirements. Develop recommendations to force feasibility which provide decision makers with responsive and accurate insight into key readiness elements such as personnel, supply, readiness, and training.
  • Conduct analysis on operational plans, concept development, and integration efforts in support of the operations and exercise sections.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on future force design tasks.
  • Work with community of interest (COI) to ensure proper evaluation of gear and equipment in support of training and readiness.
  • Conduct capability gap analysis of readiness training, analyze the implications of gaps, and provide recommendations for training to address gaps in areas to include, but not limited to, cold weather training continuum, jungle warfare, desert warfare, and major combat operations. T&R Manager may be required to assist in developing products for exercise control capability but will not fill exercise control billets.
  • Facilitate the inspection of subordinate units during Commanding General’s Readiness Inspections (CGRI) ensuring Marine Corps Readiness policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements:

  • Prior military service.
  • Experience serving on the staff of a special operations or combat arms battalion, regiment, or brigade.
  • Experience leading Marine Corps Planning Process, Military Decision-Making Process, or equivalent planning processes.
  • Have received and completed training in curriculum development and instructional methods.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of SOF capabilities, support, and operations.
  • Possess an understanding of multi-domain operations.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree.
  • Graduate of an armed forces Command and Staff College or equivalent professional military education.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance with TS/SCI Eligibility and possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license.
