Cottage Pet Hospital has proudly served the Anaheim community with exceptional veterinary care and a warm, family-like atmosphere. We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Manager to lead our team, streamline operations, and help take our hospital to the next level of excellence.

Position Overview:

The Practice Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the hospital run smoothly and efficiently. This individual will manage staff, oversee financial and operational performance, and collaborate with the medical team to deliver high-quality care and an excellent client experience.

Strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of veterinary or healthcare operations are essential to thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the hospital, ensuring exceptional service and patient care.

  • Supervise, train, and support staff in all departments; lead with empathy and accountability.

  • Manage hospital financials, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and inventory control.

  • Analyze financial reports and KPIs to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with the veterinarian(s) and department leads on strategic initiatives and hospital goals.

  • Develop and implement policies, SOPs, and staff scheduling to improve workflows and client satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.

  • Handle client concerns and support a culture of open, respectful communication.

  • Participate in marketing efforts and community outreach to grow the hospital’s presence.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of veterinary, healthcare, or small business management experience.

  • Proven track record in financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in veterinary software (e.g., Cornerstone, AVImark, or similar) is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.

  • CVPM certification is a plus but not required.

Pay Range: $70,000-80,000 BOE
