Senior Supply Long-Term Planning & Optimization Specialist for Europe

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia 

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build the European Long-Term Supply Planning and Optimization framework across Fuels and Biofuels, ensuring optimal sourcing, infrastructure utilization, and supply economics across 9 Business Units and 12 countries.

• Analyze and transform data using data science tools, Anaplan, Excel, and Python to run Fuel Supply optimization models, aligning strategy, commercial decisions, and operational execution.

• Support the development and execution of annual and monthly Fuel Supply optimization processes, including RFP structuring across 9 Business Units.

• Generate insights that improve short-term commercial decision-making, fuel blending margins, arbitrage opportunities, and overall fuel supply performance in collaboration with the Trading, Logistics, and Distribution teams.

• Contribute to the alignment and continuous improvement of planning tools, KPIs, and data structures to enhance planning accuracy and support better decision-making.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED  

• Degree in Data Science, Economic Engineering, Finance, or a related field (extensive experience in a relevant role may compensate for formal education).

• Business Intelligence, data science or coding skills.

• Mastery of Excel and Power BI.

• Ability to understand the fuel pricing structure along the commercial chain, from the supply side to the retail market.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to engage audiences, and confidence in delivering presentations to senior management.

• Fluency in English to effectively communicate with colleagues across Europe.

• Knowledge of the German fuel market will be considered an advantage.
