The Role: Senior Marketing Manager, Events & Multimedia - APAC
The Team: Reporting into Regional Director of Marketing, you will be part of a team that drives regional customer campaigns, events, and digital marketing to boost pipeline and revenue for commercial teams. Our dynamic is collaborative, integrating customer marketing, digital inbound, and event marketing strategies to accelerate customer journeys. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies:
o Identify and prioritize key events in the APAC region.
o Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, etc.) to define event objectives and target audience.
o Oversee event budgeting, logistics, and vendor management.
o Design engaging and effective marketing collateral pre- and post-event.
Lead a high-performing events marketing team:
o Provide coaching and mentorship to event marketing managers and specialists.
o Delegate tasks and ensure smooth project execution.
o Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
• Drive lead generation and customer engagement:
o Develop and implement lead capture strategies at events.
o Work with the sales team to qualify leads and drive pipeline growth.
o Measure and track event ROI based on pre-determined metrics.
o Analyze event data and identify opportunities for improvement.
Manage on-site event presence:
o Lead and manage a team of event staff to ensure a seamless attendee experience.
o Deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations of S&P Global Commodity Insights solutions.
o Build relationships with key customers and prospects.
o Negotiate and manage contracts for large- and small-scale events.
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in event marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful event strategies.
• Strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills (written & oral).
• Experience managing and motivating a team.
• In-depth knowledge of event marketing best practices and technologies (CRM, email marketing).
• Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze event ROI.
• Experience working with senior-level executives and sales teams.
• Demonstrated ability to travel frequently (regional).
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
