Endeavor Health is currently seeking an exceptional Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatology. The successful candidate will have completed an accredited neonatology fellowship and be BE/BC in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

What you will need:

License: Illinois Medical License or License Pending

Certification: The successful candidate for this position will have completed an accredited neonatology fellowship and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

What you will do:

  • Providing in-house coverage in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northwest Community Hospital for an average of 1 week per month (Monday through Friday) during the day shift, with additional overnight weekday shifts and weekend shifts to total 1944 hours per year.
  • Working one major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4 or Labor Day) and one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year’s Day).  These holiday shifts will be included in the total yearly shift requirement as outlined above.
  • You may also have the opportunity to work additional hours providing in-house coverage at either Northwest Community Hospital or Evanston Hospital, and those additional hours will be compensated at the then-applicable moonlighting rate for neonatologists at NorthShore.
  • Coverage duties include, but are not limited to, providing care for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, rounding on unassigned newborns and hyperbilirubinemia infants, attending deliveries as needed, and evaluating and managing infants in the normal newborn nursery as needed.
  • Provide teaching to physician assistant and nurse practitioner students and other learners while on call.
  • Attend at the developmental follow-up clinic once per month.
