General Summary:
The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Program Manager will be responsible for the collaborative leadership of assigned projects involving the Nursing and Allied Health EDI Program. The position supports the design, development, implementation, and continued evolution of a proactive strategy for an innovative program focused on enhancing equity, diversity, and inclusion through assessment, infrastructure, education, and intervention. The Program Manager works in collaboration with a broad group of stakeholders and inter-professional teams to promote a culture of inclusion, belonging, and antiracism throughout the organization.
This role manages projects/programs and does not have direct reports.
The selected candidate will work 8 hour shifts with some start time flexibility.
Essential Job Functions:
• Responsible for overall project management operational support to address the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion needs of Nursing and Allied Health.
• Supports Director of Equity Diversity & Inclusion in implementation of holistic programming designed to develop skills, behaviors and systems that promote EDI initiatives and development of an antiracist culture.
• Supports the ongoing assessment and tracking of projects. Compiles summaries of participant data and class attendance inventories to ensure proper detailed program evaluation.
• Coordinates EDI programing including speakers, consultants, training, vendors, and other programing needs. Manages multiple projects with deadlines and competing priorities independently.
• Promotes and communicates organization’s priorities regarding EDI and directs staff to appropriate internal and external resources (via rounding, social media, Sharepoint site)
• Assists in the development of budget, policies, and procedures relevant to the operation of EDI initiatives.
• Supports research opportunities and works collaboratively across disciplines when appropriate to improve EDI.
• Other responsibilities, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years in progressively more responsible clinical or management positions, including the managing of projects.
3. Competent in interpersonal/interdisciplinary communication, group process, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
4. Experience in planning, program development, decision making, and outcome evaluation.
5. Competent in leading and facilitating complex projects involving stakeholders from across the organization.
6. Highly self-directed in acquiring the knowledge and skills required to lead or facilitate newly assigned projects.
7. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Communicates clearly and concisely in teaching and mentoring others.
8. Ability to maintain a growth mind-set, empathic approach to critical conversations/situations, preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion.
9. EDI related certification preferred.
