As a Digital Workplace Intune Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud /hybrid technology solutions in Intune.

You will be managing, configuring, and monitoring the devices and applications of our employees.

You will need a deep understanding of modern workplace technologies, including MDM governance and best practices.

You will support MDM solution for Apple Devices and Android in Intune, and create administrate profiles, compliance policies, and settings.

Knowledge about Autopilot and co-managed devices.

In your job you will collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams and clients to understand their requirements. Integrate Modern Work solutions with other on-premises technologies, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Manage MDM Solutions with Intune integration such as Knox and Apple Business Manager.

Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Modern Work configurations, changes, and best practices. Provide training and knowledge transfer within the team, enabling them to effectively utilize Modern Work solutions

Key responsibilities and authority

Core duties, tasks, and responsibilities expected in the role. This includes the breadth and depth of the responsibilities to assess the level of complexity and impact. What decisions may the job holder make without first seeking approval from higher manager/supervisor? Does the role have signatory rights?

  • Implement and maintain security, compliance, and device management policies using Intune
  • Troubleshoot and support end users regarding their devices and applications.
  • Research and test new features and updates of Microsoft Endpoint and Intune
  • Collaborate with other members of the team and with the business areas to understand the needs and requirements of the users
  • Customize device /user groups for targeted installations.
  • Reporting
  • Assist/Contribute to any integration efforts of other tools (Service Now, AD, PowerBI etc.)
  • Assist with management of PatchMyPC 3rd party update services.
  • Configure and support Autopilot.
  • Configure and manage Window Update for Business.
  • Perform security procedures and follow policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal policies.
  • Intune Support for Android and Apple Mobile Devices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, changes, and best practices.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer within the team, enabling them to effectively utilize the best practices and solutions.

Key requirements

  • Minimum functional/technical work experience and skills necessary for efficient role performance.
  • IT/systems skills and relevant experience.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Intune MDM Enrollment policies and profiling.
  • Troubleshoot and support end users regarding their devices and applications
  • Knowledge about Autopilot and Co-Management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Policies, and Application Access.
  • Strong working knowledge of Samsung Knox and Apple Business Manager.
  • Competent management of competing priorities and workloads
  • Demonstrated experience in incident, problem, and change control processes
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including creation of technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced research and troubleshooting skills to solve issues 
  • Problem-solving abilities to see issues through to resolution
  • Ability to contribute in different phases of projects in your expertise areas
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Education/ Qualifications

Identify the essential qualifications, education, and certifications necessary for success in the role.

  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar position preferably in a large and multi-national enterprise environment.
  • At least 3+ years of proven experience with Microsoft Endpoint and Intune
  • Ideally certifications in SCCM and Intune.
