Position: Medical Sales Representative Cardiometabolic & Informatics - Andalucía 

The position of Sales Account Representative is within our Business Unit Cardiometabolic located at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics S.L.U, Spain. 

Under the responsibility of the Sales Manager Iberia for the “Cardiometabolic”  division, the primary objective is to ensure the promotion, marketing and sales follow-up for all ranges of Cardiometabolic products with public and private accounts in the sector.

Reports directly to the Iberia Sales Manager for the Cardiometabolic division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities):

  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of applicable Quality Processes

  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behaviour with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

  • Responsibility to understand and maintain awareness of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prospecting activities, setting up meetings, following up leads and generating new leads in identified target business channels. Selling the value of point of care with the key objective to achieve revenue. targets in Spain.

  • Within this framework and reflecting the divisional strategic pillars, draw up and propose an annual action plan for your region with key deliverables and timelines.

  • Be the preferred interface for Customers in your sector.

  • Provide Account Management for all existing customer accounts, prioritising higher value "strategic" accounts and maintaining high customer focus, ensuring retention of all profitable business.

  • Provide feedback internally on market intelligence gained through customer relationships, working across divisions and with in-country Market Access and Marketing colleagues. (ongoing)

  • Responsible for the smooth running of actions carried out by or with Customer Service such as the management of public and private tenders, the establishment of proposals, sales, pricing reviews and uplifts, the application of the contractual terms established with your Customers, etc.

  • Install instruments and provide training for users where required

  • Quality and regulatory procedures specific to our environment.

  • Provide regular reporting to your Sales Manager, and contribute to the reliability of sales forecasts.

  • The tasks and responsibilities are likely to evolve according to the needs of the company.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Scientific higher education (type master in biology, biochemistry, etc.), expertise in biology and commerce appreciated

  • Good knowledge of the field of medical biology diagnostics

  • Experience in biology (“point of care”) will be an important asset

  • Confirmed sales expertise in the field of medical devices or equipment

  • Strong ability to follow all Customer requests, from the most classic to the most complex
