JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for selling NTG’s 3PL services to our largest customers through identifying and acquiring new customers to grow their book of business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospect Fortune 500/large shipper prospects to add to NTG’s customer base.

  • Assess client needs and present customized solution internally outline and execute a roadmap strategy.

  • Maintain a robust sales lead pipeline within Salesforce

  • Include a core list of “Hot Leads” with outlined pursuit strategy.

  • All engagements must be recorded and maintained within Salesforce daily.

  • Participate in external events such as (but not limited to) customer QBRs, carrier summits, supply chain conferences, etc.  Travel is required.

  • Present cross-sell opportunities to other business units promoting value-added services.

  • Collaborate with various internal support departments, not limited to: Capacity team to leverage NTG’s core carrier capacity on customer opportunities. Enterprise Operations leadership and Account Managers to ensure customer expectations are being met. Pricing team to ensure all RFP timelines events are met and proposed strategy is being executed.

  • Staying knowledgeable of market trends that will affect our company and customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years’ sales experience in transportation; preferably has managed Fortune 500 relationships previously.

  • MS Office Skills and related computer knowledge.

  • Proficient Excel skills preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Skills with computers: emailing, MS office, etc.

  • Very Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to lead teams and show effective leadership.

  • Effective change management skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

SCHEDULING

This is a full-time benefits-eligible position, working Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

TRAVEL

Less than 25%.  Annual customer visits along with conferences and trade shows.
