The Vice President of PGS AI Data Analytics will lead a Digital team responsible for translating Pfizer’s strategy into innovative AI, data and analytics products and solutions for our colleagues and partners.

The Vice President of PGS AI Data Analytics will own vision, strategy, blueprint, delivery and operations of Pfizer’s AI, data and analytics capabilities, enabling and supporting Pfizer Supply Chain globally.

The Vice President of PGS AI Data Analytics will lead an organization of Digital colleagues with deep delivery, technical and supply chain domain expertise, including data engineers, software engineers, AI/ML practitioners, data scientists, project managers, and product leaders.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Vision and Strategy

  • Define and own vision, strategy, and roadmap for PGS artificial intelligence, data, and analytics ecosystem to improve and transform engagements, operations, and experiences across all functions and business processes.
  • Understand industry and innovative technology trends to effectively prioritize and apply existing and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
  • Partner across Digital and PGS to deploy and scale target analytics innovations and technologies. Act as a digital and analytics visionary to facilitate strategic solutions and pursue novel technologies to meet business needs.

Program Delivery

  • Frame and execute large-scale global transformation initiatives, from current state assessments through technical leadership, delivery, and deployment. 
  • Champion customer-centric, agile and product-focused mindset and ensure our programs and solutions deliver superior customer experience and insights.
  • Drive prioritization, focus and impact, measuring outcomes and creating a differentiated experience and continually improving performance.
     

Solution Development

  • Lead teams responsible for the design, development, implementation and management of AI, data and analytics solutions that leverage machine learning, data science, natural language processing, and other analytics and AI methods to deliver business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with partner teams, including Platforms and Products, AI CoE, and others to accelerate delivery and drive reuse of technologies, solutions, models, and components across the enterprise.

Data Management

  • Oversee the collection, integration, and management of large and diverse PGS data sets to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Operate, enhance, and establish data lakes and other repositories according to FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) principles to drive insights from supply chain data assets.
  • Lead efforts to establish data fabric to add context and connect data across the PGS domain. 
  • Manage and optimize 3rd party data and execute projects to effectively integrate new data assets.

Engagement and Communication

  • Communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles, at all levels of the organization.
  • Effectively articulate vision, inspiring and influencing others. Provide consultative advice, education, and guidance across all levels within Pfizer.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and investments internally within the company and across the industry ecosystem

  • Cultivate and champion data driven-culture, driving learning and adoptions of AI, data, and analytics capabilities.
  • Mentor, coach, guide, and grow leaders of leaders, team members, and other colleagues, creating strong collaborative and engaging organizational culture.
  • Expand the organization’s solutions and services offerings, with focus on emerging approaches, skills, and technologies to enable business innovation. 
  • Value diversity and ensures all appropriate team member views have been raised and incorporated into team decisions as appropriate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 20+ years of related experience, advanced degree preferred. 
  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership capacity with increasing scope of responsibility. 
  • Proven success as a data-centric, innovative, business-minded, highly strategic data and analytics executive with experience in supply chain, operations, quality, and manufacturing domains.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading large global technical teams in the development of fully integrated business-building technology and product strategies.
  • Experience developing new business models, introducing innovations, and leading change. Track record of influencing and leading successful cross-functional transformation efforts with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior and executive leadership.  
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into compelling, logical, and relevant narratives for executives, peers, customers, and partners. 
  • Ability to quickly gain credibility with senior management and effectively influence and collaborate with others.
  • A track record of success in attracting, developing, and motivating top talent from inside and outside of the organization, mentoring, coaching and growing others.
  • Strong business and financial acumen. 

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Leader will need to collaborate with colleagues and partners globally, including US, APAC and Europe. Some travel required 10~25%.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $239,300.00 to $398,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
