The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is responsible for driving an uplift in the Consumer Data and Analytics capabilities. The area comprises of several functions and to support the goals of Group priorities.

In this role

As a Manager in Data Management Governance you will manage coordination of data related projects, liaising with key stakeholders within CDO/BU/SU. You will facilitate execution of data related project progress against milestones with these key stakeholders, and monitor and govern to ensure data management best practices are followed.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Providing support to data related project teams on the definition of business requirements, impact assessment, project plan definition

  • Facilitating the relationship between business and technical teams to support accurate and appropriate data management decisions

  • Contributing to the conversation of specific data management business needs into functional designs

  • Guiding users on what data is available from where, using knowledge and also tools such as Alation

  • Guiding users on process of registration of data elements (including CDEs) and related metadata, lineages and controls; and also streamlining processes to enable efficient self-service DMIM

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Experience in data management

  • Advanced SQL experience

  • Experience working directly with Alation

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including building and maintaining good networks  

  • Experience with AWS, especially AWS Glue and / or AWS Datazone is highly desirable

  • Experience working with Python – highly desirable
