Position Overview:

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing point-of-sale (POS) data, supporting commercial reporting, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams. Reporting directly to the Manager of FP&A, this role will support the DTC sales team and DTC site experience team to enhance both sales performance and the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Reporting:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of point-of-sale (POS) data, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks within the DTC business.
  • Develop and maintain commercial reports that track key metrics such as pricing, promotional performance, and product-level sales analysis.
  • Provide actionable insights to drive decision-making on product performance, promotions, and pricing strategies.
  • Create presentations that condense complex data and topics into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership.
  • Analyze large datasets to deliver data-driven recommendations to senior leadership, contributing to the development of commercial strategies.

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with finance, sales, marketing, and site experience teams to provide financial insights and improve overall business performance.
  • Act as a financial partner to the DTC sales team and the DTC site experience team, supporting initiatives related to pricing, promotions, and user experience.
  • Work closely with IT and UX teams to enhance the DTC customer experience through data-driven improvements in site functionality and user engagement.
  • Support cross-functional efforts to develop financial models for new business opportunities, such as new product launches or site experience enhancements.

Ad Hoc Projects & Strategic Initiatives:

  • Provide financial support for special projects related to new product launches, site enhancements, and business expansion strategies.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making on strategic initiatives and evolving business priorities.
  • Assist in the preparation of executive-level presentations and reports that highlight the financial impact of various business activities.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a Direct to Consumer (DTC) or retail environment.
  • Strong experience in POS data analysis and commercial reporting.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets, using advanced Excel skills and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Domo, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating financial models for business opportunities and working with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, marketing, IT, UX, and site experience.
  • Experience in e-commerce or DTC environments is highly desirable.
