Workplace Operations Lead – Brisbane

At Aurecon, we are optimistic about the future. We are thinkers, solvers, and collaborators who work with our clients to deliver the infrastructure and assets that strengthen communities and create a sustainable future.

What you’ll do

As the Workplace Operations Lead, you’ll play a key role within our Workplace team, supporting the day-to-day operations of our Brisbane office and broader Queensland regional office footprint. This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you’ll act as a central coordination point for workplace operations, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and the workplace experience runs smoothly.

You will:

  • Manage day-to-day workplace operations including facilities, building issues, and general office experience

  • Act as a key escalation point, resolving the majority of operational issues before escalation to leadership

  • Coordinate contractors and vendors, ensuring service delivery and performance standards are met

  • Support office relocations, fit-outs, and new workplace setups, including defects management

  • Oversee shared resources such as fleet, car parking, and office amenities

  • Assist with contractor onboarding, contracts, and compliance requirements

  • Support health, safety, and contractor compliance (HSE) processes

  • Provide continuity across the team, stepping in as a key point of contact when required

  • Support business continuity with our CX function within the wider Workplace team

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working across a variety of tasks, and contributing to both day-to-day operations and larger workplace initiatives.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with strong workplace or facilities experience who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

You will bring:

  • Around 3+ years’ experience in workplace operations or facilities management

  • Experience in corporate or consultancy environments (preferred)

  • Strong experience coordinating contractors and vendors

  • Exposure to fit-outs, office moves, or defects management (highly desirable)

  • Solid understanding of workplace operations systems and processes

  • Basic understanding of commercial lease requirements (interpretation, not negotiation)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence without formal authority

  • A proactive, adaptable approach with a strong sense of ownership

How we support your growth

Joining Aurecon means being part of a supportive and collaborative team, where you’ll gain exposure across both operational and project-based work.

This role offers:

  • Opportunity to support one of Aurecon’s largest real estate footprints in Queensland

  • Exposure to office relocations, workplace transformations, and major projects over the next two years

  • A mix of BAU operations and project delivery experience

  • Strong team support with opportunities to build broad workplace expertise
