Course: Health Promotion

This writing-intensive course is designed to provide the foundation of healthy behavior change in relation to influential factors. Content includes motivation for physical activity and healthy choices, as well as an introduction to the psychology of sports.

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Doctorate or Master’s in any Health or Exercise Science-related discipline, AND holding NCHEC CHES certification.
• Minimum: Master’s in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Health or Exercise Science, AND holding CHES or any NSCA, NASM, or ACSM certification.
