The Network Admin will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of the data communication networks. He/she monitors network performance and sees to network maintenance and security. He/she repairs network failures and resolves moderately complex network problems.

WHAT WILL YOUR NEW ROLE BE

  • Control and ensure consistency in information system; ensure compliance with standards and with information technology charter

  • Assess current and future needs and devise software or hardware solutions

  • Manage continuous network availability; study needs in the following areas: information-sharing, data security, archiving, and backup and recovery capability; monitor network performance, developing network operation policies and procedures in order to ensure continuous data flow

  • Manage all network data traffic; define and see to standard workstation hardware and software configuration

  • Repair network failures and moderately complex network problems in order to ensure optimum performance

  • Support and contribute to implementation of network infrastructure, including workstations, local networks, data, software, and telecommunication services; support and contribute to network capacity planning, performance management, control, and security

  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • College diploma or university degree in computer science

  • 2-4 years of experience in Network administration

  • Experience with enterprise networking, including routing, switching, and Palo Alto firewalls.

  • Strong understanding of network security, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, SD-WAN, VPN, and the OSI model.

  • Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid connectivity.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

The potential salary range for this role is $65,000 to $78,000 per year, with possibility of bonus or merit program. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
