Grass Lake Animal Hospital has been a long-standing community veterinary clinic dedicated to providing high-quality care to our furry patients and exceptional service to their owners. We believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for our staff, and we are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician who is passionate about animal care and has an interest in early management.

Position Overview: As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in our team, providing excellent clinical care and support to our veterinarians. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the management of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical procedures such as anesthesia monitoring, dental cleanings, radiology, and laboratory diagnostics.
  • Assist veterinarians in examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
  • Provide compassionate patient care and educate pet owners on health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and assist in maintaining a well-organized clinic environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of practice protocols.
  • Mentor and train new staff members and veterinary students.
  • Support the practice’s goals by engaging in continuous education and professional development.
  • Collaborate with Operations Director to improve operational efficiency and patient care quality.

Qualifications:

  • Current Veterinary Technician License in Michigan
  • Proven experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
  • Strong interest in management and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to continuing education and professional growth.
