Sun Life Talent Acquisition is part of a Center of Excellence supporting all professional hiring for Sun Life businesses in Ireland. As part of the Sun Life Talent Acquisition organization, the Talent Acquisition Consultant is focused on delivering best in class talent and developing the talent pipeline for the roles and competencies most critical to the achievement of Sun Life’s' growth strategy.

 

You will have the opportunity to own and execute the overall talent acquisition strategy, process and delivery for groups within Sun Life. The ideal candidate for the Talent Acquisition Consultant role will have demonstrated strong capabilities to engage and recruit exceptional talent into critical professional roles.

How you will contribute:

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of the job specifications to include experience, skills and behavioral competencies needed for success in each role.
  • Serve as a strategic and vocal advocate for workforce diversity and inclusive work environments throughout each phase of the recruiting process.
  • Conducts recruitment strategy meetings, qualifies and presents top talent candidates to hiring managers, facilitates debriefs and decision-making, and is successful in securing the placement of candidates.
  • Ensures Sun Life is represented in the most accurate and appropriate way to all candidates, and personally drives the highest standards of ethical behavior for all involved in the recruiting process.
  • Manage vendor relationships with recruitment agencies and sole traders, including agreeing Terms and Conditions with the agency, protocols for daily rate contractors, and extending / terminating contracts as necessary.
  • Reinforce the reputation of SL Ireland by updating our external website (Sunlife.ie) and internal channels with details of open positions, Benefit plans and  testimonials, as well as posting the necessary documents / policies / information to be compliant in Ireland.
  • Communicate an attractive employee value proposition to all prospective candidates to include Sun Life’s culture, commitment to diversity and inclusion, robust information on Sun Life, individual business information, the specific position, career paths at Sun Life, benefits, etc.
  • Manage communication to key stakeholders ensuring timely and accurate updates on status and feedback.

Required education and skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in a dynamic recruitment environment, either agency or company
  • Experience with technology (Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe) and an applicant tracking tool (Workday preferred).
