About the Role:

We are looking for a Legal Operations Specialist who is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our fun, mission-driven, growth-focused team. The legal team’s mission is to mitigate risk while maximizing growth and our vision is to be trusted advisors to the business.  We succeed when employees know when to seek legal advice and integrate legal advice, counsel, and review into the company’s initiatives so they succeed.

You’ll report to the Senior Legal Operations Manager and will be key in supporting the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the legal team. You will be expected to provide a superior level of customer service to employees, management, and others. This is a generalist role that involves managing and supporting projects across the full range of subject matter supported by the legal team. 

What You'll Do:

  • Support legal matter management through outside counsel onboarding and relationship management; new matter intake; e-billing system process management; and communication with legal vendors
  • Support and manage document repository and workflows in Ironclad
  • Monitor and handle general department email mailboxes
  • Monitor and handle new service of process on the company, including initial responses to third-party & law enforcement subpoena requests
  • As needed, support and coordinate internal investigations, including privacy and security incident coordination, and serve as the first point-of-contact for customer disputes
  • Support employee understanding of equity awards and Company programs and policies and conduct office hours for new and existing employees.
  • Assist efforts to grow and scale the stock administration function, including but not limited to enhancing existing manual processes and automating processes.
  • Maintain company's equity data online tools and resources.
  • Perform complex reconciliations to review accuracy of equity and transaction data.
  • Maintain supporting workbooks for internal/external SOX auditors and respond accurately, thoroughly, and timely to auditor requests for data.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative and equity support functions for the Chief Legal Officers, the Head of Stock Administration and/or the legal team, as requested by the Chief Legal Officer, Head of Stock Administration and/or the Head of Legal Operation

What We're Looking For:

  • B.A or B.S. required
  • 1-2  years of experience with legal project operations and management in-house or at a law firm 
  • Experience with Ironclad and/or Brightflag is preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to independently move projects forward by gaining support needed from others while working in a cross-functional role
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and using legal department technology solutions (e.g., Google Suite, LinkSquares, Accrualify, Expensify, Docusign, SalesForce)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple deadlines
  • Roll up your sleeves and do what needs doing with enthusiasm and a sense of humor

 

Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The base compensation range for this role is:
$62,000$95,000 USD
