Role Mandate: The Manager, Marketing & Brands Loyalty Projects is an exciting and important role on the Marketing & Brands Enablement Planning Team that supports strategic, enterprise and transformation tactical loyalty projects. These projects transition to become programs that help propel the organization forward and provide strong value to our customers. As the Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Brands Projects, you will play an integral role in planning, managing, and ensuring successful execution of multiple tactical loyalty projects. You will collaborate with stakeholder groups across Marketing & Brands, as well as enterprise wide to ensure alignment with the same common goal to deliver on-time and on-budget.

The successful candidate will bring bold, fresh thinking combined with marketing, brands, loyalty, project management, and retail industry expertise to help enable transformation in the organization. They will be passionate about retail, customer experience and bringing value to Canadians.

This contract role will be based out of the Brampton office at 1 President’s Choice Circle, Brampton and is hybrid with four days in office, 1 day remote.

What you’ll do:

  • Project Management: Work with Loblaw Companies Limited (LCL) partners across Marketing, Brands, Divisions, Store Operations, Supply Chain, Merchandising and external partners to successfully manage strategic tactical loyalty projects. This includes but is not limited to, gathering key stakeholders to manage recurring meetings, status updates, timelines, RAID logs, reporting, program insights and ensuring that key deliverables are on track for delivery and against budget. Support presentations and status updates to members across senior leadership and the working teams.
  • Collaboration: Builds and maintains strong collaborative partnerships with relevant teams across the organization and externally. Ensure clear and concise communication by leveraging a natural ability to facilitate connections across stakeholders. In addition, lead meetings with stakeholders on an on-going basis. Support and drive effective change to the benefit of the projects and programs via effective organizational skills and strong cross functional collaboration.
  • Leadership: Positively influence project team performance through collaborative candor, adaptability and leading by example. Demonstrates a drive to achieve project success while fully invested in the success of stakeholders, programs, and the enterprise.
  • Outcomes & KPIs: Manage tactical loyalty projects efficiently and ensure that all deliverables and milestones are on time.  Mitigate risk and issues through pro-active identification, solutioning and strong communications.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of retail industry marketing experience​ within or in partnership with brand strategy, product strategy, campaign execution, promotions, creative/agency management or in store marketing.
  • 5+ years practical project management experience, within marketing or retail, with multiple scope, high profile, enterprise wide, full project ownership, and accountability within a matrix organization.
  • 5+ years’ proven experience with project management and marketing operations tools – Workfront, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, Wrike, Asana etc. Understanding of all Microsoft 365 products required.
