Summary :: We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in SQL and data engineering to design, develop, and maintain metadata-driven, configurable, and reusable frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for building data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and transformation frameworks that are parameterized, modular, and reusable, enabling faster onboarding of new data sources and reducing engineering effort across projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of data engineers, analysts, and architects, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions across cloud or on-premise data platforms. Roles & Responsibilities: - Framework Design & Development Design, develop, and maintain metadata-driven frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and validation. Build configurable and reusable SQL-based ETL/ELT pipelines to handle multiple data sources and targets. Implement parameterization, dynamic table mapping, and metadata management to simplify pipeline deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders to define metadata standards, naming conventions, and configuration models. Optimize SQL queries and database operations for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Data Integration & Cloud Platform Integrate pipelines with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or on-premise databases. Ensure data pipelines are robust, reliable, and scalable across multiple environments. Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup for metadata-driven frameworks. Data Quality, Testing & Monitoring Implement automated validation and data quality checks within the framework. Build test frameworks to ensure correctness, completeness, and consistency of data pipelines. Monitor pipeline performance and implement alerts for failures or anomalies. Collaboration & Mentoring Work closely with data architects, analysts, and developers to align frameworks with business requirements. Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for modularity, reusability, and maintainability. Mentor junior engineers in metadata-driven design, SQL optimization, and pipeline development. Professional Techniques :: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, or database programming. Expert-level proficiency in SQL across relational and cloud databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server, Oracle). Hands-on experience designing metadata-driven, reusable, and configurable frameworks. Experience building parameterized and modular ETL/ELT pipelines. Knowledge of data quality frameworks, testing frameworks, and automated validation techniques. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage, transformation, or orchestration. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control best practices. Strong understanding of data modeling, table schemas, and data architecture principles. Nice to Have Experience with Python, Py Spark, or Scala for metadata-driven transformations. Familiarity with Airflow, Prefect, or other orchestration tools. Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks. Experience in building logging, monitoring, and observability frameworks for pipelines. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams. Ownership mindset, proactive, and self-driven. Additional Information:- The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Large Language Models. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
