The Compliance Training Specialist provides educational initiatives for VCU Health System (organization-wide) to support compliance and privacy practices according to regulatory compliance standards. Initiatives to include: development, delivery and assessment of educational materials, presentations and reference materials, and collaboration with appropriate team members and departments to promote compliance and privacy initiatives or address potential concerns.

Experience REQUIRED:
Three (3) years of professional work experience in adult training and staff development
Previous experience using a personal computer and various software applications to include Microsoft applications, e-mail, etc. Strong verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.

Experience PREFERRED
Five (5) years of professional work experience in adult training and staff development.
Two (2) years of work experience in healthcare compliance.
Previous experience using Microsoft office design tools, learning management platform software and SharePoint. Experience with ADDIE model, instructional design adult training, creating and developing training presentations, content development and experience with Excel reports a plus. Some graphic design experience.


Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s in Adult Education, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field

Education/training PREFERRED:
Master’s in Adult Education, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field

Training actions are planned and coordinated with independent decision-making
Must be self-directed to manage daily workload independently
Communicate appropriately and timely across the organization
Plan work to timely completion
Champion creative ideas and move them to implementation
