Prologis is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

As the world’s leading logistics real estate provider, Prologis is uniquely positioned to leverage our global real estate portfolio, renewable energy expertise, and customer network to deliver innovative clean energy solutions. Our rapidly growing Global Energy business is introducing cutting-edge initiatives—including solar, battery energy storage systems, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure—across the 19 countries where we operate.

In this role, you will apply your accounting expertise to support and streamline energy-related accounting activities. This is a truly all-rounded role, combining recurring responsibilities throughout the month with a strong focus on month-end closing activities. Key tasks include processing intercompany recharges, managing accruals and prepaids, and preparing variance analyses between actuals and forecasts. In addition, you will play an active role in analyzing, implementing, and documenting new business initiatives to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The position will give you broad exposure across revenue, cost, and asset accounting, while offering the opportunity to help shape processes for an emerging sustainable business.

While the primary focus will be on Energy Accounting, you will also contribute to Real Estate accounting as part of our established, highly collaborative team. This is an exciting opportunity to maintain high standards of accounting activities as well design and implement accounting solutions at the forefront of Prologis’ business.

What’s needed in order to do that.

• Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to perform accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local GAAP. Ensuring accuracy and reconciliation of accounts.
• Analytical expertise to prepare monthly global energy reporting packages, including variance analysis between actuals and forecasts.
• Intercompany accounting proficiency, managing transactions and recharges between subsidiaries.
• Financial calculation skills to accurately determine and process management fees.
• Research and problem-solving ability to assess new or complex transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP and local standards.
• Subject matter expertise to act as the go-to resource for accounting topics in scope.
• Cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with business teams and global accounting
• Contract review capability to interpret business terms and translate them into accurate accounting entries.
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset, contributing to process documentation, efficiency gains, and automation opportunities.

• BSc or MSc degree in Accounting or Business
• 4+ years relevant accounting experience required
• Experience with a global, multi-entity, public organization strongly preferred
• Solid accounting knowledge and proven record of driving process improvements
• Have a pro-active, getting it done mentality with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility is a key to being successful in this role
• Demonstrated abilities to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Execute responsibilities with a sense of urgency and follow-through
