LOCATION: Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan
REPORTS TO: Procurement Operations Manager
The APAC Procurement Operations Specialist will collaborate with Country Leadership, APAC Category and COE teams to ensure sufficient supply of raw materials, chemicals, packaging and MRO (goods and services) & CAPEX for the APAC plants. The role will be responsible for service delivery to all Ingredion’s regional and global teams, such as operations, supply chain and commercial for procurement related items; assuring proper compliance with Ingredion’s policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assure supply of raw materials, chemicals, packaging and MRO for our manufacturing facilities through demand planning activities to properly allocate volume with our supplier mix.
- Partner with S&OP to analyze and share forecast, scheduling with preferred vendors to guarantee demand visibility and set up actions towards risk mitigation of supply.
- Leverage cost efficiency through long term strategy agreements and deliver cost savings/avoidance within plants.
- Develop and maintain Supplier Relationship Management programs to assure supply and guarantee vendor service levels.
- Partner with operations and supply chain stakeholders to set specific scope of works and item specifications in order to fully align procurement processes and guarantee procurement best practices. (RFI, RFP, competitive value-added analysis).
- Participate on plant’s leadership activities, such as projects and staff meetings to identify needs and properly communicate risks and opportunities from the procurement standpoint.
- Partner with APAC COE to identify, execute and consolidate standardization opportunities to leverage cost efficiency among plants.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to the Procurement Process.
- Develop work plans, identify data needs, and successfully interpret analytic insights.
Qualified candidates will have:
- General procurement background, experience in direct material (raw material and packaging) and MRO is preferred.
- Experience working in F&B/ Chemical industry is preferred.
- Ability to organize, schedule and successfully manage multiple priorities.
- Strong SAP background on the Materials Management Module.
- Sound knowledge in RFI, RFP and cost/benefit analysis.
- Sound knowledge in cost breakdown and data management.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Sound knowledge of SAP. Ariba and Power Steering are desirable.
- Able to manage intercultural teams
