We Recruit a New
Commodity Manager for Polymers, Performance Chemicals & Packaging Category. Who will work in Global Procurement Team, Report to Procurement Director • Supply Chain. Work and Locate in Suzhou. Responsible for APAC and Global Lubricant, Chemical, Label, Packaging Material Commodity. Management and Other Task and Projects Manager and Team Assigned.


Job Purpose:

  • Work Actively and Closely in Global Commodity Team and with BU Procurement Team to Implement Global Sourcing Strategy of Direct Material by Category.
  • Making Annually Category Tension Plan, Cost Reduction Plan, KPIs Plan to Continue Improve Cost and Performance, Create Savings, Productivity and Efficiency.
  • Optimize Supply Chain Network & Supplier Base for Material Safey and Flexibility. Source New Capable Candidates and Development. Manage Supplier and Risk.
  • Fully Support Global & BU NPD & NPI Projects (esp. OFC Projects), Insure Successful Launch and Longterm Success.
  • Global Collaborations, Review and Meetings, Standard Process & Tool Utilize.
  • Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align with Global Category, Make Sourcing Strategy According to Copeland Business & Operation Needs & Demands and Market & Industry Trend.
  • Commodity Spending & Supplier Base Analysis, Create Annually Action Plan and Well Execute.
  • Drive Continue Cost Reduction by Revers Auctions (E-bidding) & RFP, Negotiation, Localization, Supplier Leverage, Technical & Material & Process Improvement. Leading Cost Reduction & Avoidance Projects. Inflation Management. Achieve Global AOP and Benefit BU P&L
  • Continue Improve Procurement KPIs Such As Average Payment Term, Contract Terms & Conditions, Supplier LT, OTD & PPM …
  • Supplier Audit, Evaluation, Score Card. Development, Phase In & Out
  • Contract & Agreement Negotiation, Capacity Review & Improvement.
  • Supplier Delivery & Quality & Service Performance Improvement.
  • Supplier Risk Mitigation and Contingency Plan.
  • Use Global Standard Tool (eg.Exiger) To Manage Suppler Risk and Supply Chain Sustainability.
  • Fully Support Global & BU NPD& NPI Projects (esp. OFC Project). Source Proper Candidates, Collection Quotation or Run NPD RFP, SWOT Analysis.

Fix Sourcing Strategy and Monitor Supplier & Parts Development Process, Driving Supplier Ramp Up Speed and Capacity Extension to, Ensure NPD Goal of Cost, Quality and Launch Schedule and Demands. Both Short Term and Long Term.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is Necessary, Major in Supply Chain Management\Business\ Technical & Engineering\ Manufacturing\ Metal or No-metal Material & Chemical\or Related Field. Master Will be More Preferred.
  • At Least 10 Years Working Experience in Purchasing & Commodity Management & Supply Chain is Necessary. More Working Experience Related Hiring Category is Preferred, Especially Experience and Knowledge in Lubricant, Chemical, Label, Package…
  • Strategic Mindset, Business Insight, Result Orientated, Well Collaboration and Experienced in Project Management.
  • Working Experience in Multi-National Company\Manufacturer.
  • Good Communication in English within Global Team and Cross Functions.
  • Experience in Oil-free Centrifuge Compressor Manufacturing is Highly Welcomed
