JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary: The Financial Analyst will provide financial support and analysis consisting of financial planning, monthly forecasting and reporting to management. The analyst is expected to utilize technology to effectively manage data, information and generate multiple reports. In addition, the position must communicate financial information to senior management to help assist in making future business decisions. Teamwork with peers, managers and leadership are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial support relating to Admin, Selling, and R&D Functions along with general support within the Operations Finance area. It is imperative that all timelines are met and that departmental objectives are achieved. The key functions of the position include:

  • Assist with monthly departmental forecasting within Admin, Selling, and R&D Functions
  • Assist with preparation of monthly closing information for management to include expense analysis vs. forecast and plan
  • Prepare data, information and reports for manager regarding monthly spending review meetings with senior management
  • Participation with annual physical inventory
  • Review and analyze financial information in support of monthly close
  • Prepare monthly reports and closing journal entries as required
  • Provide quality and actionable financial reports to management within area of responsibility

Required Skills:

  • Effective communication with team members and the ability to present financial information
  • Continuous improvement, with emphasis on efficiency and speed are essential requirements
  • Applicants must possess mid to advanced level desk top applications skills (Microsoft Suite)

Specific Duties

  • Forecasting and Budgeting
  • P&L review and analysis
  • Month and Quarter close process
  • Provide operational support within FP&A function

Skills/Knowledge/Ability

  • Ability to design and create reports utilizing critical thinking skills
  • Display high degree of productivity in a fast pace environment is essential
  • Advanced attention to details skills a must

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Manufacturing experience in high tech industry is a plus
  • Team player – must be able to work effectively within cross-functional groups
  • BS Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with 0 - 2+ years of Financial Analysis experience
  • Glovia ERP systems experience is a plus
  • Cognos reporting experience is a plus
  • Planning Maestro experience is a plus
