The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
 

Pay Range: $66,300.00 - $99,500.00

Job Description

About the Role:

As an Executive Assistant at WGU, supporting our VP of Product and Portfolio Management, you’ll play a key role in managing high-level administrative functions, representing the university to internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring smooth operations for our executive team. What You Will Do:

  • Act as the trusted bridge between senior leadership and various internal/external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and fostering relationships across the university.

  • Manage executive calendars, schedule meetings, and organize domestic and international travel, ensuring every detail is in place for smooth operations.

  • Organize meetings, conferences, and special events. From preparing agendas to tracking action items, you’ll ensure all logistics run smoothly.

  • Manage sensitive information with discretion, keeping both physical and electronic files organized and accessible.

  • Draft and edit emails, reports, and presentations, representing senior leadership with professionalism and accuracy.

  • Oversee daily office functions, manage supplies, coordinate equipment, and assist with budget tracking and financial transactions.

  • Support special projects, conduct research, and provide data analysis to assist in decision-making and drive organizational success.
     

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities You'll Need:

  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with data to identify trends.

  • Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent time management and flexibility to work outside of regular hours when needed.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

  • A minimum of 4 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience. (Generally, 1 year of experience is considered equivalent to 1 year of education.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience scheduling meetings, managing executive calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.

  • Experience leading projects and organizing department-wide events.

  • Experience working within a matrixed organization and supporting a distributed workforce.

  • Prior experience collaborating with technical teams.

Position & Application Details
