The Assistant Director, Annual Giving will play an essential role in articulating how philanthropy supports UMGC’s mission, values, and strategic priorities by assisting in the development, management, and oversight of the comprehensive Annual Giving Program at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). This position will ensure UMGC is a leader among its peers, creating and delivering dynamic philanthropic experiences for the global community of university constituencies designed to strategically solicit and steward lifelong, meaningful relationships supporting the UMGC student experience.

Additionally, successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to handle complex tasks, formulate plans, carry out objectives, and interact effectively with individuals; proficiency in written communication creativity, and well-developed organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and ability to work independently and effectively with a wide variety of internal and external constituencies. Travel is required. The appropriate equivalent of sales, marketing, or business development experience in the for-profit sector may be considered in lieu of fund-raising experience. This position can be remote, but the candidate may be asked to attend specific events or meetings (note: UMGC will cover the costs of this travel)
