NIE invites applications for the position of Project Officer. This is an 8-months contract position.

Responsibilities

The Project Officer will manage the day-to-day operations of the project, a cutting-edge initiative aimed at developing an AI-supported peer feedback system to improve students’ feedback literacy and higher-order thinking.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of the system prototype, ensuring that both technical and pedagogical standards are met.
  • Managing complex system design tasks and coordinating with developers to ensure timely delivery of key project components.
  • Conducting rigorous evaluations of the system's effectiveness through data collection, analysis, and testing of the prototype in real-world educational settings.
  • Managing and coordinating data collection processes, including setting up and maintaining the system for efficient data capture and analysis.
  • Preparing reports, publications, and presentations to disseminate findings to various stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigators in ensuring smooth project operations and timelines.
  • Coordinating with external stakeholders and partners as required.

Requirements

  • A University degree in Education, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Good knowledge in AI in education, feedback literacy, and technology-enhanced learning is essential.
  • Experience managing educational projects and/or system development prototypes is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in data collection and educational evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency in emerging technologies (e.g., ChatGPT).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
