ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

 

We have part-time Assistant in Nursing positions available in the clinical environment. In this program you will be allocated to a clinical department where you will report directly to the Nurse Unit Manager and integrate into the nursing and multidisciplinary team.

The Assistant in Nursing provides support to the Nursing staff in the delivery of basic care in busy medical, surgical and the orthopaedic departments. This experience could assist you in securing a New Graduate Position in the future.

 

To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following;

 

·         Enrolled in and undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing at 2nd year level, must have completed an acute care placement

·         Enrolled in and undertaking a Diploma of Nursing and in at least 2nd stage

·         Certificate 3 in Health Service Assistance

·         Well-developed interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment

·         Proven ability to take direction whilst remaining within scope of practice

·         Providing high quality patient centred care

·         Assisting patients with activities of daily living

·         Completing basic fundamental clinical skills, to assist the RN/EN workforce

·         Ensuring the safety of patients

·         Excellent organisation and time management skills

·         Effective written and verbal communication skills

·         Flexible and available to work on a 24/7 rotating roster

·         Proven team work/time management skills

·         Previous experience working in an acute healthcare area (desired)
