Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter

The newest addition to the division will be Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter (WBSTT), an indoor attraction that will invite visitors to step into the fascinating behind-the-scenes world of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. The Studio Tour Tokyo will offer special features to enable visitors to deepen their understanding of how the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films were made. With iconic film sets to explore, costumes and props to discover and magical experiences to delight, the indoor attraction will invite visitors to enjoy scenes from the films first-hand and discover how the world's favorite book series was brought to life on screen.

Unlike a theme park, the Studio Tour will allow visitors to step into film sets and enjoy an exciting entertainment experience. This will be only the second tour of its kind in the world and will build on the hugely successful Warner Bros. Studio Tour London (WBSTL). Covering over 960,000 Sq Feet Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter opened in Toshimaen in the June 2023.
 

Primary Purpose of the Job:

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and supervise an in-house security team which provides day to day security services to the Warner Bros Studio Tour Tokyo and for the account management of the security vendor.

The role of the team is to provide a discrete security overlay to compliment the visitor experience by keeping both visitors, staff, and the Tour safe through implementation of the security operations procedures whilst working hand in hand with the Tour teams.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead the in-house security team which provides security services to Warner Bros Studio Tour Tokyo.
  • Have responsibility for physical guarding, search and screening processes, and security operations center support through technical security which includes access control and CCTV operations.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the security operation is properly resourced, and that staff are motivated, inspired and trained.
  • Responsibility for managing the performance of the team.
  • Responsible for oversight of all incidents and security operations procedures including identifying and addressing areas for improvement, innovation and risk.
  • In partnership with the People and Culture Team, ensuring that all absence, welfare, conduct matters are managed.
  • Provide dynamic leadership in supporting the Duty Management Team in relation to managing security implications associated with a large visitor attraction with significant daily visitor attendance, giving specialist security advice as required.
  • Deliver an exceptional security experience to visitors to the Tour.
  • Have a key role in working harmoniously with stakeholder colleagues in other teams at the Tour.
  • Lead the planning and support to any events or operations as required.
  • Be an astute financial manager able to manage the budgets associated to the account.
  • Act as primary liaison with the security vendor to manage the efficient and effective operation of the account.
  • Perform any other additional duties as requested.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience leading a security team for a large public-facing company, visitor attraction or relevant experience in public sector/law enforcement.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work well with other teams across the business operation.
  • Excellent collaboration, engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in operational response to emergency and crisis situations.

Working Pattern:

  • This position is based at the Tour in Toshimaen and is not eligible for remote work.
  • This role may involve shift work and unsociable hours, including evenings, weekends and public holiday.

          Language

  • The ability to speak English would be an advantage.

Security license

  • Category 1 static man guarding
  • Category 2 traffic control and event (crowd) security
