The Facilities Maintenance Technician will travel to sites and fullfill all HVAC repairs, and maintenance of equipment at a variety of locations in the Northern LA County market.

The locations the technician will service include the San Fernando Valley to the Santa Clarita Valley area but not limited to those sites.

Hours for this role will be - Monday - Friday - 6am - 3pm

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*

  • Maintain, repair office space including HVAC, lighting, electrical and plumbing.

  • Inspects facilities for building safety and needed repairs.

  • Give updates to Facilities Manager on a regular basis in regards to work progress.

  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments.

  • Oversees, evaluates and maintains records, reports and documentation related to the Facilities Department (work orders, inventory management, etc.).

  • Assists with other projects and duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must have PC proficiency, working knowledge of MS Office

  • Provide excellent customer service to teachers and students

  • Excellent communication both verbally and in writing using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

  • Ability to perform building and equipment maintenance work involving a variety of trades.

  • Working knowledge of office equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Capability to review, evaluate and modify work methods.

  • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and availability for emergency response is required.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow up on task commitments and give updates as needed.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining courtesy and professionalism.

  • Ability to do moderate to heavy labor and moving tasks. Should be able to lift 50+ lbs.
     

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems and certification

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
