Five Arrows

Five Arrows is the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co, managing more than €30 billion in a series of funds dedicated to corporate and secondary private equity, multi-managers funds and co-investments, as well as senior and junior private debt. The Five Arrows team comprises over 300 professionals based in Europe and North America.

This position is in the Direct Lending (DL) team, a business that provides private debt financing solutions to middle-market companies in Europe and North America The DL team comprises more than 20 investment professionals based in Paris, London, and New York, managing over €4 billion of capital.

Data & Reporting Manager

The candidate will operate at the centre of client servicing and fundraising / investor relations support for the DL platform, with wide-ranging responsibilities. The fast-paced nature of the role requires the candidate to have the ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritise workload.

The position will work closely with the DL Finance team based in Luxembourg and the Investor Relations team and will report into the CFO of DL based in London. There will also be significant interaction directly with the investment teams.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Monitoring system – Ownership of data

  • Own and manage the process of collecting and validating the financial data from portfolio companies into iLevel

  • Collaborate with the investment and finance teams to improve the quality and consistency of reporting

  • Participate in projects to develop the reporting platform

Management Information, performance data and fund models

  • Collaborate with the finance teams and senior management to prepare and update fund forecast models

  • Prepare management information dashboards

  • Provide wider Five Arrows finance teams with data for group forecasts and reporting

  • Own and maintain database with key fund and portfolio performance data

  • Enhance database to enable efficient reporting and links to fund forecast models

Materials preparation

  • Lead the periodic reporting process (quarterly reports and bespoke reporting for large investors) alongside the finance and investment teams

  • Provide data and reporting for fundraising materials e.g.. pitchbooks, DDQs

  • Work closely with IR and finance teams to answer ad-hoc investor queries

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • University degree from a highly ranked University / business school

  • C.5 years of experience within asset management, preferably Private Capital/Private Credit

  • Experience of managing significant amounts of performance related data

  • Strong Excel skills (modelling, macros etc.)

  • Experience with iLevel or similar Portfolio Management systems

  • Fluency in English is essential; French would be an advantage
