POSITION: VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS SERVICES

Across our portfolio of live event venues and corporate offices, we are looking for VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS SERVICES.

This leadership role will serve as a liaison between ASM Global Corporate leadership, Regional Executives, and Local Venues to support corporate initiatives and projects to ensure success. Role will lead and manage, under the guidance from SVP and Head of Regional Finance and relevant program owners/executive sponsors, the activation on newly implemented systems and centralized programs, the establishment in governance and standards in processes, the optimization of user engagement and adoption of tools and systems deployed across ASM Global to drive best practices and operational excellence. Role requires strong leadership, project management, communication and problem-solving skills. 2 full time director positions will report into this leadership role and will be supported by centralized analytic resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Activation, Engagement and Adoption: Maximize activation of new programs. Drive engagement and oversee progress of usage/participation of various programs/systems.

Transformation and new initiative support: Lead, manage and facilitate various transformation initiatives and projects across ASM Global. Participate in creation of new programs not currently offered or developed as required.

Centralized programs: Together with relevant stakeholders, role will maintain various centralized programs and work with corporate finance on various financial analysis, including allocation where applicable and manage current inventory related to centralized programs. Manage and co-ordinate communication to and from venues related to centralized programs.

Shared service strategies: Continuously explore, together with relevant functional leaders, on potential of shared services, business case and ROIs to drive financial and operational efficiencies.

Growth and Integration: Contribute to contract renewal efforts, new business opportunities, new venue openings and transitions as required. Lead the business services team to support relevant integration efforts.

Functional leadership: As a senior leader of ASM Global, own the process of sourcing, hiring and selecting talent within the business services team. Constantly identify high potential talent for future movements. Engage in succession planning in discussion with SVP and Head of Regional Finance. Participate in long term strategic planning with executive leadership as required (i.e. Project planning, Financial Long range plan, Budget and Forecasting).

Supervisory Responsibilities           

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience          

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in Project management with at least three (3) of those years in a management function of a multiple business unit settings (ie. Regional or Corporate offices).
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, arena, convention center or stadium; or an equivalent combination of education and experience would be desirable.

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skill and executive presence with presenting to all level of management from senior executive leadership and stakeholders to individual venue General managers and management teams.
  • Problem solving skills and critical thinking skills within a global enterprise set up.
  • High degree of comfort in managing multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the work time would be required.
