About the team: 

Our Team does enhancement and support for FIS Securities Processing Manager “PHASE3” product, which is a real-time order-to-settlement securities processing system used by broker/dealers and correspondent clearings firms. We provide a competitive solution to clients to use our application for high frequency and low latency trading. The client should be able to see the quick market updates from exchanges. Proficient in at least two higher-level programming languages and knowledge of at least one systems development life cycle model. Understands the products, services, practices, regulations and operations associated with the assigned line of business. Receives general supervision and is competent in most phases of programming to work on own, and requires only some general direction for the balance of the activities

About the role:

Perform Java architect role for multitenant high efficiency products for modernization , architecture design , addressing performance issue, mentor team from technical front. As an IT Architect, you’ll help design the foundation for how our global fintech platforms perform and scale. Your expertise will influence selecting, operating and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.

What you will be doing:

• Defining and maintaining a library of functional component models for FIS product lines.
• Documenting functional product solutions as well as key FIS financial services opportunities.
• Maintaining a catalogue of reusable functional application components relevant for applications and product lines.
• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participates in software design meetings and analyses user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
• May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you will need:

• Bachlor / Master’s degree in computer applications or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Java architect
• Good to have background in Commodity Market.
• Expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.
• Five or more years in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.
• Experience designing and implementing applications in a shared service bureau environment.
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.
• A bachelor’s in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience – post-graduate education desired.
