Job Description​

As a Sterile Processing Technician at Saint Luke’s Health System, you will have the opportunity to expand your skill sets, work in a challenging fast-paced environment and the support for continuous learning and professional development.

Hiring for various shifts for the following locations:

  • Saint Luke's East Hospital - Lee's Summit, MO
  • Saint Luke's North Hospital - Kansas City, MO Barry Rd
  • Saint Luke's South Hospital - Overland Park, KS
  • Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City - Kansas City, MO Plaza

Responsibilities:

  • Processing sterilization and documentation related to sterility of patient care supplies instruments and equipment used throughout the hospital in accordance with the AORN Standards of Practice.

  • Prepares and assembles instrument sets and surgery trays using count sheets and verifies proper function and integrity of instruments.

  • Labels instruments correctly and returns them to their proper location.

  • Efficient in the quality execution of instrumentation that is directly related to patient safety and department efficiencies.

  • Familiar with AAMI Joint Commission and APIC standards related to infection control.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have confidence in your abilities and strong communication skills. You will rotate through the various stations allowing you to learn all aspects of sterile processing. We are looking for detailed professionals who are process driven and understands the importance of keeping the patient safe.
