Job Description

Assistant Finance Manager, DARTS

Job Summary:

The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for supporting the management of the general ledger, overseeing financial operations reporting, ensuring efficient cash flow management, and assisting with statutory reporting and tax filing processes. This role also contributes to projects aimed at improving financial processes and collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide accurate and timely financial insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger Oversight & Closing

  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.

  • Ensure proper classification & entry of transactions related to service costs and non-service costs.

  • Coordinate and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other closing activities

2. Financial Operations Reporting

  • Prepare and support the management of financial operations reports, including receivables aging, payables aging, and balance sheet reviews..

  • Conduct regular reviews of key financial metrics, such as working capital and cash flow, to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Provide insights through detailed analysis of operational finance reports to support management decision-making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations reporting.

3. Cash Flow Management

  • Assist in managing the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.

  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to anticipate future liquidity needs.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely forecasting of cash inflows and outflows.

4. Statutory Reporting and Tax Filing:

  • Assist in managing annual audit and tax engagements, including tracking internal deadlines and coordinating with external parties such as auditors, company secretaries, lawyers, bankers, and relevant authorities.

5. Projects & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to design and implement finance transformation projects that streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.

  • Develop and document standard operating procedures

  • Assist in leading cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, automation, and standardization of financial procedures.

  • Develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation, dashboards, and performance metrics to support key business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong understanding of financial systems, ERP solutions, and emerging technologies in the finance domain.

  • Proven experience in data analysis, with proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques.

  • Familiarity with Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis is a plus.

  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
