The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) team leverages advanced technologies, data analytics, and scientific approaches such as optimization and statistical modeling to build innovative tools that shape business decisions across The Walt Disney Company. We support Disney Entertainment (ABC, The Walt Disney Studios, Disney+, Hulu), ESPN, Disney Experiences (Theme Parks, Cruise Line, Consumer Products, DVC), and Corporate Finance with strategic applications that enable data-driven decision-making. 

In DDSI, we sit at the intersection of business strategy, advanced analytics, and technology integration to help our partners explore opportunities for analytics, shape business decisions, and drive value. We are responsible for crafting and teaching courses in data science to other businesses across the Company, as well as broadly sharing general data and analytics knowledge at the Company’s annual Disney Data & Analytics Conference (DDAC).

We are seeking a project manager to manage the operations and logistics for the Disney Data & Analytics (DDA) Community of Practice. This role will also be responsible for project managing products that fall under the Community of Practice including an enterprise-wide networking program and DDAC virtual encore series. Additionally, this role will manage communications for the Community of Practice as a whole and individual products in the form of emails, website management, stakeholder communication and participant-facing resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for DDA Community of Practice initiatives.

  • Monitor project milestones, flag risks or delays, and support mitigation planning.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators and metrics related to product effectiveness and project success.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings for the DDA Community of Practice Core Team, Working Groups and Product Owners.

  • Prepare agendas, capture meeting notes, and ensure timely follow-ups on action items.

  • Draft and distribute updates and presentations for the DDA Community of Practice and its products.

  • Coordinate with partners to gather inputs, share updates and maintain alignment on deliverables.

  • Manage logistics and communications for an enterprise-wide networking program.

  • Manage logistics and communications for DDAC virtual encores.

  • Help manage stakeholder communications and ensure timely responses to inquiries in multiple shared mailboxes.

  • Support the development, management and execution of internal communication plans for the DDA Community of Practice and its products.

  • Provide logistical and planning support for Community of Practice-related workstreams held at DDAC.

  • Document standard operating procedures and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and consistency across projects.

  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.

  • Provide guidance and support for other team members on DDA Community of Practice workstreams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated project management experience or leadership on a project

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with a diverse set of clients and partners of varying job levels

  • Prior experience working in a matrixed organization where the ability to influence others is critical to individual and team success

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated keen attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and collaboration site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management certification(s)

  • Experience working with highly analytical teams

  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Experience providing internal client services

  • Experience with Adobe creative suite or other graphics programs

  • Extensive knowledge of the Smartsheet platform

  • Familiarity of Disney business domain knowledge

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience  

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $88,800 to $121,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
