As the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will own the uptime, reliability, and long‑term performance of our entire site infrastructure and all production equipment. This role leads a skilled team responsible for building systems, utilities, physical infrastructure, and the maintenance of critical manufacturing assets in a highly regulated medical‑device environment.
You’ll bring together technical depth, leadership maturity, and strategic thinking to ensure our facility and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance—while contributing directly to plant‑wide performance and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing facilities and maintenance teams—including staffing, training, and performance management.
- Design and deploy operational policies and procedures that drive reliability, efficiency, and standardization.
- Champion a culture of safety, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Actively contribute to annual strategic planning, helping shape plant-level goals (OKRs), KPIs, and long-term direction.
- Own the execution of departmental action plans aligned with the site’s strategic vision, mission, and values.
Budget & Cost Management
- Develop and manage the full facilities and maintenance budget.
- Control and monitor spending to ensure responsible, cost‑effective operation.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, energy savings, and equipment life‑cycle improvements.
Facilities Management
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems—HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, security, and structural components.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase asset longevity.
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships for specialized facility services.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance for facilities, utilities, and production-related systems.
Production Equipment Maintenance
- Direct the maintenance and repair of all production and process equipment to ensure consistent operational performance.
- Guarantee equipment reliability and availability to meet OEE targets across all operations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment capability, safety, and efficiency.
Environment, Health & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement safety programs and staff training.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Lead sustainability initiatives, monitoring energy usage, waste, and environmental performance.
- Identify and implement opportunities for environmental impact reduction and operational efficiency.
Emergency Preparedness
- Maintain and continuously improve facility emergency response plans.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in facilities and/or maintenance management, with at least 5 years leading teams.
- Medical device manufacturing experience is required, with strong familiarity in regulated environments and equipment validation expectations.
