Your Role

In your daily job you will:

  • Perform 2D/3D mechanical design in accordance with product, customer, and internal engineering standards
  • Prepare and maintain customer-responsive drawings and preliminary Bills of Materials (BOMs
  • Maintain and manage Global Specification Database (GSD) data to ensure accuracy and traceability
  • Conduct design reviews and facilitate lessons-learned activities to support continuous improvement
  • Manage Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
  • Support product engineering activities related to mechanical development throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensure effective technical communication and collaboration with Aptiv global engineering teams
  • Maintain proper documentation of design activities, decisions, and change history

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in 2D/3D mechanical design within automotive or manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of BOM structures, drawing standards, and design documentation
  • Experience with ECR/ECN processes and engineering change management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global team environments
  • Proficiency in English for technical communication
